LAS VEGAS — Murder suspect Alonso Perez was being questioned over the weekend for a murder in the Las Vegas when he escaped the interrogation room while no one was watching him, according to the North Las Vegas Police Department who released video of the escape today.
Police checked on Perez — who was wearing an Ezekiel Elliott jersey — while he was in the interrogation room, but they didn’t notice the broken handcuffs. That gave Perez 40 minutes to plot his escape and skedaddle through the ceiling.
Perez has since been captured and has been booked for murder with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, escape, and grand larceny auto, according to Police.
Perez is accused of killing a man who didn’t hold the door open for a woman at McDonald’s.
