CORK, Ireland — An Irish bus driver has won over the hears of everyone with a simple act of kindness.

As an elderly woman got off the bus, the driver, William Harris, noticed her shoelace was untied, according to the Irish Independent.

Harris cautioned the woman about her untied shoe. She said she knew; that’s when Harris realized the woman also knew she wasn’t steady enough to bend down and tie it herself.

Harris parked the bus, got off, and tied the woman’s shoe for her.

Passenger Clara O’Brien took a photo and posted it to the bus company’s Facebook page, commending Harris.

“I haven’t seen someone do something so kind in as long as i can remember and the lady was so appreciative she blew a kiss as the bus was pulling away. Your driver made my day,” O’Brien wrote in the post.

Harris’ family, who saw the post, said he loves his job and was brought up to respect his elders.

We’re blowing you a kiss as well, William Harris.
