We can all Agree on Pizza, Right?

Thomas Schweighofer

Usually, even the pickiest eaters will still eat a pizza. The tricky part is finding a restaurant that will serve pizza that everyone can eat. Well, we’ve figured out that part for you!

Your Favorite Pies, now Gluten-free!

Did you know that all locations of Fireside Pies can make any pizza gluten free? They have a special flour mix for it. So now any one of your favorite Dallas pizzas from Fireside can be gluten-free!

The Best Vegan Pizza in Dallas

According to a lot of vegans out here in Dallas, Pizza LOUNGE has the final word on vegan pizza in the area. They have Daiya cheese, all the meats and toppings you could imagine. Not to mention, your dairy and meat eating friends can get theirs at the same time!

Ok, but What About the Gluten-free Vegans?

I know what you’re thinking. You’re vegan, but your BFF is celiac. How are you to share a pizza? Try Mellow Mushroom. They have a gluten-free vegan crust and a build your own pizza. You can add the toppings you like or choose from one of their gluten-free vegan special specials.

Stephanie McCabe

When you’re vegan, gluten-free, or otherwise limited, it may seem like the only way to get a cupcake is to bake a cupcake. Though baking can be fun, who really has the time for that? We’ve scoped out the best in Dallas for vegan and gluten-free baked treats. Now you can have all the treats without all the mess!

One is the Loneliest Vegan Flavor

Hillary Juster

By now, you may or may not know that we are a little obsessed with Glazed Donut Works. Unfortunately for vegans, though, they only carry one vegan flavor a day, and it often runs out around 10:00 a.m. They open again in the evening, but still. Please, sir, may I have some more?

Gluten-free Cupcake Takeover

For a little more dough, you can get a gluten-free cupcake at Unrefined Bakery. They have gluten-free, vegan options as well, and their cupcakes seem to be taking over Dallas. Every week they have a brand new gourmet cupcake flavor to try, so there’s always a reason to stop in!

Even the Kids (with Allergies) are Alright

Danielle MacInnes

When you factor kids with food allergies into the equation, you’re on a whole new level of “Where do we eat?” We’ve found chains that have a record of bringing the chef out to your table to confirm your allergies. They take extra care with your food because they know the importance of allergy cross-contamination. Even so, they’re still fun for the whole family!

Gorge, Gorge, Gorge in the the Jungle

The Rainforest Cafe, you may remember, animates and sings and whistles and even rains occasionally throughout your meal. Your pack can get loud in here no problem. They will take care of your food allergy concerns and take special care of you if you inform your waiter of your needs.

Chinese Food for Me?

While P.F. Chang’s may not have the most child-like atmosphere, they take care of their guests with allergies. That means if you have a soy, peanut, gluten, or shellfish allergy and normally can’t enjoy Chinese food, you can finally give it a try!

The Cantina is Seating all of Us

Even Mexican can sometimes be a challenge for someone with food allergies. Β While corn chips are often gluten-free, they may be fried in the same oil as the flour chimichangas. At Pappasitos Cantina, whether or not you’re able to eat the chips, at least you’ll know that they’re looking out for you.

The Finale: Italiano

They will work with you at Maggiano’s Little Italy to find something you can eat. I can’t promise that you can find pasta if you’re celiac, but you may be able to find something else you like a lot. Keep in mind, though, the vibe is a bit fancier. This may be for special occasions.

You’re discerning about what you put in your body. That means you probably like to eat pretty clean for the most part. We have some excellent recommendations for healthy restaurants in Dallas that offer vegan and gluten-free options.

LYFE Kitchen for Life

LYFE Kitchen has almost everything you could want at one restaurant. They have pizza, burgers, a kid’s menu, fresh juice, smoothies, salads, and dessert! Almost all of this comes in gluten-free and vegan varieties, and the nutritional information is available on their menu.

Not for the Faint of Stomach

True Food Kitchen has a similar style to LYFE Kitchen, with table service. The flavors at True Food are far more intense, though. Some people swear by it. We would caution that it’s not for those who like subtle flavors. The flavors strike us as very intense.

Junk Food, oh how we Love Junk Food!

Yes, we may be healthy a lot of the time, but sometimes we wanna let loose and go to town on a pile of fries or good old nachos. Well, we know where to get that too, folks.

In Good Gluten-free Company (Cafe)

Company Cafe serves diner classics, gluten-free and traditional. They also have an extensive brunch menu that includes the southwestern favorites we’ve all come to know and love, like migas. Even gluten-free eaters want brunch!
