BURLESON, Texas– You can do a lot with a bunch of Lego bricks.

You can make a really tall tower, a life-sized house, a scientist, or even a movie.

Now, a North Texas boy will get the chance to make a lot of those things and more. 11-year-old Jake Patterson has a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy. He asked the Make-A-Wish Foundation for a creative workstation in his back yard — a place where he could build with lego bricks.

After weeks of waiting and work, welcome to Jake’s workshop. It has plenty of room for Jake and his dad and several friends to build anything they can dream up. Jake got the idea for his wish from a trip to Legoland.

“I just thought, why not have one of my own in my house, in my back yard.

“He doesn’t get to do a lot of things that other kids get to do like go swimming and physical type stuff,” Jake’s dad, Eric, said. “So this is gonna change his life for the better.”

We can’t wait to see what Jake’s imagination will create.
