NORTH TEXAS- We’ve seen some great weather lately, complete with sunny skies! Hey, it's been a while since it's been this nice.

So as temps flirted with the 70 degree mark, folks in North Texas headed out to enjoy the sunshine.

Things heated up as people flocked to the Dallas Zoo in hopes of taking advantage of their cool $ 5 penguin days.

"It was a beautiful day outside and we got to see lots of cool animals. We're homeschooling so we're doing a science field trip for birds," said one Zoo visitor.

"It’s been a great day, great weather, good time, the kids are tired out, and we’re headed out," said another Zoo visitor.

With the parking lots at capacity, the zoo tweeted out alternative transportation!

Guess you could say it was a zoo out there.

Well, the monkeys weren't the only ones swinging outside, some kids hit the swing-set at Trinity Park in Fort Worth.

Across the county line, folks at Fair Park enjoyed some nice family time.

Well, just as begin to thaw from the winter chill and come out of hibernation, you better prepare for another cold shot.

That's right, come Thursday, it'll be wet with highs in the mid-40's.

So what are you waiting for, get out there! These spring-like temps won't stick around.

Don't you just love Texas weather?
