CANTON, TX -- At least four people are dead, dozens more hurt after at least four tornadoes tore through Van Zandt and Henderson Counties Saturday night.

Canton, about 60 miles east of Dallas, is one of the hardest hit areas. The mayor there says this is a fluid situation, and the number of people killed could change as search and rescue efforts continue.

A Disaster Declaration has been issued.

"There are more than 300 state employees working on this tragedy," Governor Greg Abbott said Sunday after touring the destruction. He promised the state will do whatever it takes to help the victims.

Many of you are asking -- how can I help?

"The most effective thing you can donate would be money," Governor Abbott said.

Another way to help -- keep this small East Texas community in your prayers.
