DALLAS (KDAF) — Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and for most Americans, a certain protein is usually in the mix.
Bacon for breakfast is not an original idea so change it up and make it candy bacon!
Our friend’s over at Craftway Kitchen shows us how to spice up (literally) a breakfast staple, and here’s the catch – it’s super easy!

- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup ancho paste
- 1 tbs red pepper flakes
Cook bacon 1/2 way (approximately seven minutes at 450 degrees) brush with mixture and bake another seven minutes until crispy.
