DALLAS -- Planning on heading out of town this Memorial Day weekend? Well, if you're from the DFW, have we get a treat for you! No lines at TSA, at least not yet.

This weekend was predicted to be the busiest Memorial Day weekend ever, with more than 2.6 million people expected to fly. But either folks are staying home or TSA is finally dealing with the #ihatethewait campaign.

It's been a busy week for TSA -- from getting rid of its top security official Monday to sitting in the hot seat before Congress Wednesday and Thursday, American Airlines announced  70,000 customers  had missed flights due to TSA security delays.

But as the Memorial Day weekend takes off, folks are flying high! TSA lines are moving fast. A pleasant surprise for passengers who’s patience has been tested.

So did the TSA finally fix this mess or was it just a good day to travel in Texas? Whatever happened, we're hoping the long waits are over.

Let the vacay begin!
