PLANO, TX -- Brace yourselves for the galactic first glimpse of one of the most anticipated movies in recent years.
Thank you, JJ Abrams, looks like you’ve awakened the giddy geek in all of us. That’s right, the first trailer for Episode VII: The Force Awakens premiered on Black Friday.
Okay, Abrams – you’ve got our attention, and the attention of scores of Star Wars fans across the globe.
"I thought it was amazing. They did a good job of kind of setting the tone for the new movie, didn’t show any of the old characters, but at the same time, they showed a lot of the vehicles and they topped it off with the Millennium Falcon,” fan John Little said.
“Oh, it was so great and seeing it on the big screen – nothing beats that. Even though we knew it was coming, it was super great. The handle on the light saber was the highlight,” Crystal and Mike Orin added.
The trailer was shown at the Cinemark West theater in Plano. It was just one of 30-theaters nationwide to debut the preview.
Well, stow away that saber, young Jedis, this installment doesn’t open until December 2015. Yeah, talk about a buzz droid kill. Sorry, not even your Jedi mind-tricks can make the movie open any sooner.
So, until then…May the force be with you…
