UPLAND, CA — Diane Stretton was hired as a live-in nanny by the Bracamonte family in March… but things just didn’t work out, and the Bracamontes had to fire stretton. Bad news? Stretton wouldn’t leave, becoming the nightmare nanny.
California state law says that once a person establishes residency, they have to be formally evicted. So, with no help from the cops, Stretton remained, eating the family’s food and sleeping in their home.
“We own it,’ Bracamonte said. ‘Our names are on the title, not hers, and we can’t make her leave.”
Well, now, in an e-mail to the family’s lawyer, Stretton says she’ll go “if the media stays away.” She also recently disappeared from the home, leaving her possessions in her room, and was spotted sleeping in her car.
Now, Stretton’s lawyer and the Bracamontes are negotiating when she’ll be gone for good.
