DALLAS – The rain may have brought cooler temps to North Texas, but it’s making mosquitoes happy too.

All this wet weather is giving the West Nile skeeters a perfect playground to multiply. Two cases have already been confirmed this year – one in Coppell, the other in North Dallas.

In addition, the rain resulted in sprayings getting cancelled earlier this week.

West Nile isn’t the only bug to beware of. Let’s not forget about that virus no one can pronounce. Chikungunya, an African-born bacillus, has already infected five people in Texas.

So cover up and cover yourself with bug spray if you want to avoid being feasted on by these ferocious frequent flyers.
