MCKINNEY--Finding a home in North Texas is tough.

As soon as a "for sale" sign goes up, it's replaced with a "sold" sign.

In Collin County, finding a home's even harder. The census bureau estimates 25,000 people move in every year!

So if you need a home, what do you do?

Well, you start from scratch. Welcome to Prestwyck.

It doesn't look like much now, but the neighborhood is due to be transformed with 83 brand spankin' new homes!

The Prestwyck development is in a growing section of McKinney, just east of Coit Road and south of Highway 380, in the Prosper school district.

The home sites went on sale Tuesday. It was *first come, first serve."

Some folks, like Taylor Angelo, didn't want to miss their chance.

"I got here yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, right after nap time," she said, holding her daughter, Lennon. "And my husband joined me right after work."

He camped out all night along with dozens of other soon-to-be homeowners.

"There wasn't a lot of sleep," Jonathan Angelo said. "Probably slept a total of two hours throughout the night. But it was fun to get to know the neighbors.

So why put yourself through this?

"There was a buzz and we knew we had to be here," Taylor said.

It paid off. The Angelos got their future homesite, and a lot of other families got their plots, too.

By next summer, here comes the neighborhood!
