BRENHAM -- A Texas veterinarian who boasted online about killing a cat will have her license suspended for a year.

Kristen Lindsey, 33, posted a picture last April of herself holding a cat that had been shot with an arrow, along with the caption that read, in part, "My first bow kill. Vet of the Year award gladly accepted."

Lindsey was later fired from her job. Her license was suspended this week.

In addition to the suspension, she'll have to complete four years of probation and animal welfare training.
