SAN MARCOS -- A Texas State University student with ties to the DFW area died in a tragic accident over the weekend.

Police say 20-year-old Jordin Taylor, originally from Burleson, was somehow run over by a shuttle bus. It happened during a frat party at the Cool River Ranch in San Marcos.

Police say the bus had lost its air braking system, so the driver left it parked. It's not clear what caused the bus to move again, or how Taylor was hit; but police believe it was an accident.
