ARLINGTON, TX - You know him as number 45 when he takes the mound at Globe Life Park in Arlington -- Derek Holland; AKA The Dutch Oven.

And if you ask him, he's always known he was gonna be a big league pitcher. "I had the confidence. I wasn't cocky. I just  believed in myself, I knew what I had to do, the work that I had to put in," he said. "In my mind it was a one way street and that was it. 'I'm gonna be a big leaguer.' That was where I was going."

Holland credits his attitude and work ethic to his parents and older brother. "I gotta give them the credit because they made me who I am today."

Humble, and talented! Ya can't go wrong there!
