DALLAS — MegaFest is in full swing. Registration kicked off Wednesday and by Thursday, downtown Dallas will be swarming with people in town for T.D. Jakes' MegaFest.

“You can feel the excitement kind of reverberating throughout the room with everyone setting up and everything. ManPower, Woman Thou Art Loosed, MegaKids, MegaYouth, so much happening this week,” explained Patrick Winfield, The Potter’s House Fort Worth Campus Pastor.

It’s the brainchild of world-renowned evangelist Bishop T.D. Jakes.  Everyone from celebs, ministers, and everyday folks will be piling into events Thursday through Sunday.

“We’re expecting over 85,000 people to be here,” Winfield added.

“We anticipate somewhere in the neighborhood of 35 and 40 million dollars of economic impact. Staying in our hotels, many of our downtown hotels are already sold out. Eating in our restaurants,” Phillip Jones, President/CEO of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau said.

“It’s going to be an amazing experience, faith, family, and empowerment that will really be an inspiration for visitors from around the country and around the world.”

“We have over 40 countries that’s represented,” Winfield mentioned.

Bishop Joy Bandoy’s is in town from the Philippines.

“Always wishing, desiring someday I’d be able to attend MegaFest.  It’s my first time!  Finally, I’m here looking forward to what God is going to do," Bandoy said.

“Just anticipating all of the people that are going to be here, and all of the lives that’ll be touched this weekend,” Winfield smiled.

Sounds like a mega, MEGA good  time!
