DALLAS -- Looks like The Big D knows how to hold its liquor. According to The Bureau of Labor Statistics, Dallas spends more on booze than any other city surveyed in the U.S.
The average Washington D.C. household spent $563 on booze in 2014. Boston totaled $619. And hold your livers, y'all. Dallas drank a total of $744 per year! That means people in Dallas spend about 1% of its household income on alcoholic beverages!
Hmmm, Should we drink to that or nah?
Well, The BLS report only counted how much we drink at home and not what we spend at restaurants and bars.
Hey, we're still probably #1 when it comes to that too!
