SANTA CLARA, CA - So the matchup for Super Bowl 50 is set, but if you`re a traveling fan of either team playing in the big game, be prepared to spend super bucks!

But you need to get moving ASAP. According to reps for the travel search engine KAYAK, flight prices increased by more than 35% once the matchup for last year`s Super Bowl was determined.

Another travel site, Priceline, has checked average Bay area airfares flying out from the two competing cities. Denver is between $300-$500, Charlotte is anywhere from $400-$850! Looks like Denver`s already winning in that respect.

But once you get there you need a place to stay right? If you're looking for just the basics you can find 2-star hotels in the Bay area for as low as $65 a night and 3-star starting at $145. 4-star quality will set you back almost $1,000 a night.

And going through Airbnb won`t be much cheaper, with an average of nearly $250 a night San Francisco, has the highest rates of any U.S. city.

But wait, you still have to get into the game. With average resale prices being a little above $5,000 dollars, that's no small task. But that's a bargain compared what it costs to get into one of the suites; $465,000 dollars!

So with this year's ticket prices on pace to break records get ready to break the bank if you plan on cheering your team on in person.
