NORTH TEXAS — Okay, parents, have you found yourself thinking: the kids haven’t even been out of school a full week and you’re running out of things to do?
Look, we get it; summer break can be a challenge. But, how do you keep your kids busy and keep from going broke? MetroMom Tina Wysk shares her tips on freebies in the city.
“They can go learn how money is printed in Fort Worth. One of the federal engraving bureaus in the U.S. is in our backyard.”
“You can visit some of our nature preserves in the area,” Wysk added. “We have many and some have special festivals during the summer, like the Heard Museum in McKinney has a butterfly festival right now with a butterfly release daily.”
If you’ve checked those stops off your list, here are some activities to do on the cheap:
“Studio Movie Grill in particular has a family series at only $3 a ticket, so you don’t have to break the bank this summer.”
“SpringFree Trampoline has a two-hour jump session for only $10 a child.”
Here’s hoping your fun in the sun doesn’t burn your budget.
