DALLAS, TX -- Let's be clear -- the only time it's actually safe for a bus to be filled way over capacity is when the Dallas Mavs challenge their fans to a Winter Warm Up Drive.

“We’ve been to three different Taco Bueno restaurants so far. This is the third one of the day,” explained Mavs Guard Raymond Felton. “Then, we’re heading on to Dallas Life to hand them out.”

Felton wants to guard Dallas Life Homeless residents from the wintery weather. “I'm just a guy who loves to help,” Felton added.

“Any chance I can get out and in the community and help someone, I’m all about it.”

Felton, along with Mavs fans, helped 'stuff the bus’ -- also known as the Big Blue Mavs Express Bus; and it was filled with everything from coats blankets scarves and socks.

It was all in an effort to make sure folks who need it, are bundled up for the holidays. In the spirit of giving, Mavs fans who stepped up to the challenge were able to score free coupons and discount tickets to watch Felton and his teammates in action.

“It's always fun for fans to see you outside of being on the court having a jersey on," Felton said.

Hey, that's what the Holidays are all about:  a season of giving and receiving!
