DALLAS — Its that time of year to get your green on and kiss anything Irish. Your Grand Marshal for the 2016 Dallas Mavs St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Mark Cuban.

Hey, is he even Irish?

“No. But I drink and I am kissable,” the Mavs owner said.

Cuban saved the parade about five years ago when the event was almost canceled. Plus, Cuban gets to be a VIP on a float with his kids on Saturday.

“The good news is they get to ride in a float. The bad news is, I won’t be able to drink because they’re riding in a float with me,” Cuban said.

But its all for a good cause.

CW33 will be floating down the parade route on Greenville Ave with all the proceeds from the parade going to college scholarships for lucky Dallas ISD seniors.

“When they first asked me to save the parade, it wasn’t something I considered,” Cuban explained. “But when they told me about the scholarship fund, we actually contributed to it and amped it up.”

While some pubs were gearing up for weekend events, Trinity Hall was already slammed since early morning.

“We got here about nine thirty. This is our favorite table right here we always like to come and get this table. We’ll be here till about six thirty or seven,” said party-goer Stewart Sebastian.

Good food, good music, and good looking kilts at Trinity. Whoa, there McGilicutty. Aren’t kilts Scottish?

“Irish men wear kilts as well,” said one Irish reveler.
