61-year-old Joanne Tronconi suffers from Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome. It’s a disfigurement that appears as a large port wine colored stain on her face and causes swelling all over her body.

Tronconi was born with the birthmark, but it wasn’t until she turned 40 that the swelling began. So when Joanne finally decided to ask for help concealing the blemish on her face, she looked to none other than her 17-year-old son Matthew.

Matthew has amassed a huge following on his Clawdeena9 YouTube channel for his epic makeup transformation and drag makeover videos.

And the recent video featuring his mom’s makeup transformation now has more than 11 million views.

“Going on camera now and showing the world that I’m not different. I may look different, but I’m just like everybody else,” Joanne told Eye Opener.

“And I wanted to give hope to those families, all over the world, it’s amazing how many people contacted us, that told us, ‘thank you for putting myself out there.’ And it gave them hope,” Joanne added.

Matthew has done his mom’s make up off camera, but this was a different experience because of her deformity. He said there were some negative comments about the video, but the overwhelming positivity made up for it.
