I figure most of you have a lot to talk about this holiday season, but take a minute and think about the kind of conversations you`ve had for the first time over the past 12 months.

Here are some words of wisdom from the past year:

A strong economy doesn’t mean a strong turnout for you and your party on Election Day.

When everyone thinks you`re gonna stink, you can succeed.

We may not all agree on the best kind of health insurance in this country, but there’s no debate about who has the best docs and researchers in the world.

We all have a better understanding of the grand jury process, even though we sometimes don’t understand their decisions.

In 2014, some of you likely thought about NOT filling your Sundays with football.  This kind of stuff reminds us it more than a game.

Reefer Madness used to make us stay away from this, now it could refer to the states where pot is not legal.

Over the past 12 months, we learned how everything you say can be recorded, how 60,000 kids still can`t solve the immigration problem, how gas can be cheap again!

We talked about how North Korea may be backwards, closed-off, and repressive, but the Hollywood hack showed us they may not be as stupid as we once thought. I don’t know what I’m more upset about: How movie theaters pulled The Interview or the fact that someone at Sony thought this was the perfect Christmas movie!

Yeah , we had a lot of first-time talking points this year; don’t even get me started on those other hacks, ISIS, and that still-missing plane.

So here’s to a great 2015. I can’t wait to have this talk again.

Don't Miss
