NEW YORK -- We hear it every year: "New Year, New Me," and that's not counting the people who plan to "take over the world." But, instead of shouting your resolutions into existence... what about shredding them?
Well, that's what the New Yorkers did on what they call Good Riddance Day.
For the ninth year in a row, people in the city shred papers and plastic things they want to leave behind in 2015. Some of those "shreds" will be dropped over the crowd in Times Square when the ball drops on New Year's Eve.
Happy 2016, y'all!
