DALLAS, TX – – It was a hero’s homecoming for some of our nation’s bravest.

On the anniversary of one of our country’s darkest days, military men and women were honored for their service and sacrifice.

More than 100 wounded veterans were flown into DFW International Airport for the 10th annual Seats for Soldiers.

The Dallas Mavericks and American Airlines teamed up to wine and dine soldiers for the day in Big D.

Everyone here was given the four star  treatment. Their trip to Dallas included a special dinner at Abacus — followed by a night of fun at the AAC.

The group saw the Mavs take on the Milwaukee Bucks — front and center. Each of the seats for the game were donated by Mavs season ticket holders.

“I’ve seen a lot of basketball but I’ve never seen a professional basketball game,” said Ed Guthrie, World War II veteran.

It was a day dedicated to those who have dedicated their lives for the freedom and safety of our country.
