DALLAS - Milli Vanilli arrived at the shelter as a stray, moving around with a major hitch in her stride.

“She had a very serious injury to her elbow and she came in limping,” says Leslie Sans, Executive Director of Dallas Pets Alive!

Milli was also a mama dog with a litter of puppies in tow.  After all her puppies were adopted, she fell into a postpartum funk.

“She was really just getting depressed in her kennel,” says Sans. “She was put on the Rescue Only List and we found a foster just in the nick of time.”

A vet made it clear that Milli’s bum leg wasn’t doing her any favors and it was amputated. Now, Milli is learning to make due living as a tripod.

“There is that little bit of a time where dogs have to adjust,” says Sans. “But, she is now to the point where she is up and able to take walks.”

Now that Milli is moving around just fine, she is ready for her “fur-ever” home. And the best part, until the end of the month Milli is on sale!

“Right now, we are having an adoption special for black dogs and Milli is only $75,” says Sans. “Unfortunately, in the shelter it is so hard for black dogs to get adopted. They are just at risk of being euthanized.”

Milli needs to find the real deal, no lip syncing, or lip service allowed!
