ATLANTA — The comedian best known for his “jobless” role as Tommy on the ’90s show “Martin” has died.

Tommy Ford’s family made the difficult decision Wednesday to pull him off life support, just three days after suffering a ruptured aneurysm in his abdomen. He was just 52.

According to his Instagram account, Tommy was recovering from knee replacement surgery when he fell unconscious.

Martin Lawrence and several co-stars are paying their respects via social media:

Tommy played Martin’s best friend on the show. He was the butt of several jokes, including the most famous of them all — “Tommy, you ain’t got no job, man!”

But turns out, Tommy really DID have a job on the show. According to Tisha Campbell, he was a counselor at the Boys and Girls Club.

Rest in Peace, Tommy. We’re sure you’ll have them joking and laughing on the other side.
