HIGHLAND PARK — If we could pick any celebrity to open a store in Dallas, Reese Witherspoon would’ve probably been one of them. So, thank goodness the actress has opened a Draper James store in the city!

The 1,800 square foot boutique is nestled in Highland Park Village, which is hundreds of miles away from its flagship store in Music City.

“Ever since we opened our business about a year and a half ago,  Dallas customers are incredible,” Reese told NewsFix.  “They’ve been so great, and they said, ‘We need a store!'”

Although Draper James isn’t along the lines of Elle Woods’ fashion sense, Reese says the inspiration does come from another leading lady in her life.

“My grandmother was a southern lady, and she didn’t have a lot of money,” Reese explained. “When she put a dress on, she always made sure she looked her best and had her bag and shoes matching.”

And that’s what the 40-year-old mom had in mind for her female customers — easy to put on and head out the door!

We don’t know if you can do a whole lot of bendin’ and snappin’ in the beautiful dresses, but you can cheer on your favorite football team in Reese’s Tailgate Collection.

“I always look at things the women wear to sports games, and I was like, ‘Why can’t we elevate it?’ We have cooler bags and cross-body bags ’cause you can’t take big bags into stadiums,” she said.

Reese is also using her fashion brand to help those in need. She’s teamed up with FEED Projects to provide meals to the hungry.

We’re sure glad Reese chose Dallas as her fashion home sweet home!

“I’ve already made friends with the neighbors next door. It’s going to be a great time!”
