DALLAS -- There is no better price than free, but a buck isn't bad either. And that just so happens to be the cost of rapper J. Cole's "Dollar and a Dream" concert in Dallas Sunday Night.
“Of course he has to charge a little something but a dollar is nothing,” said Tre Scott.
Okay, so here is the catch. Tickets to the concert were first come first serve, and the location was kept a secret until J. Cole broke the news on Twitter at four Saturday afternoon.
Well, maybe it wasn't that much of a secret. Rumors started to spread pretty quickly on social media, and there was a line around the block at the House of Blues hours before the tweet was posted.
“We are first in line,” Patrick Robinson Jr. said. “We drove all the way from Houston. We left at like 3:30 a.m.”
“I’ve been standing in line for like five hours. I’m hungry!" Sammy Garcia said.
The weather didn't quite cooperate. Things went from sunny to stormy in a matter of seconds and had this crowd seeking cover.
“It started pouring and then all hell broke loose,” said Kenneth Orchard.
Hey, it's a "Cole" world sometimes. But a concert for four quarters -- now that's a bargain!
