DALLAS, Texas—Forget Black Friday, retailers started the party as early as Monday! Enter the ‘Pre-Pre-Black Friday!’
Walmart, Lowe’s, Target, Best Buy, and loads of stores are promoting the pre-holiday deal hunt. Folks at Microsoft in Northpark Center in Dallas were getting their Black Friday shop on, too.
“Our HP Stream is actually $99 today. We’re ready to take care of customers, as you can see, we’re busy, but absolutely ready for them and excited for them,” Meny Ventura, Operations Manager at Microsoft said.
“Well, I just came to see what kind of deals they got—specials for Black Friday. I’m so interested in that computer right there,” shopper Kevin Lopez said.
“The Black Friday madness? I guess I’m not a huge Black Friday person,” shopper Michael Gardner said. “I try to do a lot of my Black Friday shopping online.”
A lot of folks aren’t waiting until Cyber Monday, either. Check out Amazon! The shopping site rolled out new online deals every ten minutes. But when it comes to finding the best stuff, you got to have a game plan, right?
“My strategy is to come in the store, find some deals, and then, I’ll go buy stuff online,” shopper Shana Gardner said. “We wanted to get out early; I just want a tablet, that’s it.”
“If I could find some deals today, that’s my goal,” Michael Gardner added. “I’ll take one of everything in this store, I’m fine with that.”
