PLANO - Living in 2017 is like the Disney movie Smart House.

Technology is everywhere, and some studies suggest children shouldn't have so much screen time, but how do you find that balance when so much of the world is moving toward technology?

''It is restrictive technology time, which we keep a log of," Plano's The Learning Experience owner Sameer Kumar says.

TLE is walking that line right now with school mascot Bubbles, but also with interactive smart boards to bring their unique curriculum to life.

"We use technology in a couple of different ways. One is our safe and secure mobile app. We basically communicate to the parents; let them be a part of the child's learning while they are not with us," Kumar, who has two kids of his own, says.

"I get a sneak peek at her enjoying her day in her classroom," says parent and academy regional director Stephanie Retherford. "We believe that it's best for the children to do the sensory activities and do the hands-on learning, but we use the technology to capture those special moments and to share them with their families."

Between the home communication and virtual trips across the country, sounds like a good place to be.

Keep an eye out for a bunch of new locations coming to DFW in the next year.
