CROWLEY, Texas — On Facebook, they look like a close-knit family, but everyone in the photo is now dead — except for a nine-year-old boy.

His mother, 34-year-old Ximoara Leon, was found shot to death in their Crowley home on Sunday.

Big sister Linda, who graduated from Crowley High School last year, was shot multiple times in the head, and his 13-year-old sister Yasmine was strangled.

Crowley cops believe this was a murder-suicide, although the medical examiner hasn’t made it official.

The lone survivor in this family — that nine-year-old boy — told detectives his stepfather was trying to kill himself.

36-year-old Samuel Morales was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

What the nine-year-old didn’t know was that the rest of his family had already been killed.

At a vigil in Crowley Tuesday night, friends and family are asking “Why?” Facebook friends are asking the same thing.

One of Linda Gonzalez’s friends saying, “I would do anything to trade places with you.”

And another family friend stating, “my heart aches and I still don’t want to believe that almost all the smiling faces in this photo are gone forever.”
