ARLINGTON – It’s almost game time, baby. And whether or not the Cowboys — and Romo – are ready for Saturday’s pre-season home opener against the Ravens, it looks like the stadium will be.
Starting with the Cowboy’s Miller Lite Corral. Real Cowboys fans remember the party tent from back in the 90’s, during the dynasty days. Well, it’s back – and as you can imagine – bigger than before.
At a little over 8,000 square ft., this tent will hold about one-thousand fans. If you’re craving a brew (because who isn’t in this heat) there’s a beer garden. If none of that tickles your fancy, maybe the 90-inch big screen, live music, dance performances, concessions and VIP space will.
“People certainly miss certain aspects of Texas Stadium and the Corral was one of them,” Charlotte Anderson said. Anderson is the Executive Vice President for the Cowboys. “So we are happy to bring it back.”
And the stadium isn’t stopping with just a tent – they’re upping the tech too.
Fans will be able to get a little more personal with the players and cheerleaders with a new app called ‘Unite the House.’ The app lets fans connect to a giant LED display board that will create a light show throughout the stadium, as well as light up your own device with a flashing strobe light.
It looks like fan interaction is under control. Sounds like all that’s needed is da boys to come thru and get the win.
