FLOWER MOUND, Texas -- Chances are if you live near Flower Mound or Lewisville, you might have thought you were in the middle of an action movie Sunday night.

“I was saying, what happened? Why is a helicopter going around here? It's scaring me a little bit,” said Tranc Vo who lives in Lewisville.

According to Flower Mound cops, at about nine Sunday night, four suspects rang the doorbell of a home on Suncrest drive. When someone answered the door, four masked suspects rushed into the home and held a family at gunpoint.

“Gathered up the family in the living room and began to search for jewelry and cash,” said Wess Griffin with Flower Mound PD.

Officers were able to catch one of suspects at the scene.

The three other men escaped and ended up stealing a car in Lewisville.  After a high-speed chase, two suspects were caught by Carrolton Police. One suspect is still on the run.

Police believe these four could be connected to a series of home invasions over the weekend.

“Allen had three offenses on Saturday, I believe, and it does look like a very similar M.O.” said Captain Griffin.

It's not official whether these robberies are all related, but folks who live in these parts are a little uneasy.

“For people to go in and terrorize families and children is unbelievable,” said a neighbor who didn't want to be identified  lives on the same street in Allen where a family of four was ambushed and bound with duct tape.

“The kids are like, we’re going to booby trap the house like home alone but it’s very serious.”

While this neighbor says he will do whatever it takes to protect his wife and kids, cops say there is one easy way to keep your family safe.

“Make sure you know who is at the door before you open it to anyone,” said Captain Griffin.
