SEATTLE, WA – Imagine being able to shop at a grocery store and leave without ever taking out your wallet or purse. No we’re not talking about stealing, we`re talking about technology, specifically Amazon.

The company best known for their online store is now getting into the grocery store business.

On Monday, Amazon released a video showing how their grocery store in Seattle will operate. It shows people simply grabbing items off the shelves and then walking out of the store. That`s right; no more lines, no more registers, no more headaches.

It’ll all be made possible through the company’s app called Amazon Go. Customers will use the app to enter the store and then sensors will keep up with each item customers take off the shelves.

Once you walk out your card is charged and you’re sent a receipt of your purchases. Amazon is tabbing it as “just walk out” technology.

Just a couple months ago one of Amazon’s competitors, Sam’s Club, revealed a Scan & Go app that allows shoppers to use their smartphones to skip lines as well.

A future without long lines at the grocery store? We think that`s something we can all look forward to.

Amazon says their just walk out store will open in Seattle in early 2017.
