ALLEN, TX -- It isn’t how friends and family planned to celebrate Christina Morris’ birthday. On Saturday, Morris turned 24-years-old. A day meant for celebration is instead a day of sorrow as friends and family exchange prayers, not presents, for the missing woman.

Balloons in Morris' favorite color, were released Saturday morning, in her honor.  A group of dedicated volunteers gathered, as they have for the past 11-months, to begin yet another search.

August 30th marks one year since Morris' disappearance. She vanished from the Plano Shops at Legacy. Surveillance video, taken from a parking garage, documents the last few moments Morris was seen alive.

Enrique Arochi, the man seen walking with her, remains jailed in Collin County, charged with aggravated kidnapping.  Arochi maintains his innocence; Morris' family maintains he knows what happened to their daughter.

The Morris family told NewsFix they’ll spend the day together; comforting each other and recalling special memories.

A devastated family now left searching for answers, searching for peace and always searching for Christina.
