BURLESON, Texas — It’s the story of a real-life miracle, and it took place in our own backyard. Miracles From Heaven takes a Burleson family’s true story all the way to the big screen.

Back in 2011, Anna Beam was diagnosed with an incurable digestive disorder, but then she suffered a freak accident and fell head first into a hollow cottonwood tree.

The 9-year-old said she had a near-death experience where she went to heaven, spoke to Jesus and was miraculously cured.

Anna’s mom, Christy Beam, told their story in a book. Now, Bishop T.D. Jakes has turned the book into a faith-based film featuring big name stars such as Jennifer Garner who plays Christy and Queen Latifah who stars as a family friend and believer.

You can catch the film in a theater near you. But beware, this is probably the kind of flick where you’re going to need a box of Kleenex!
