MIAMI – Singer Michael Bublé is apologizing following extreme backlash for posting an Instagram pic of a woman’s booty cheeks peeking out of her tiny shorts.
“It hurts me deeply that anyone would think that I would disrespect women or be insulting to any human being,” he said in a statement to E! News.
“I regret that there are people out there who found the photo offensive. That was not and is not my intention. Women are to be celebrated, loved, respected, honored and revered. I’ve spent my life believing that and will continue to do so.”
His wife, Luisana Lopilato, took the photo while in Miami.

The caption reads, “There was something about this photo lu took, that seemed worthy of Instagram.” Â #myhumps #babygotback #hungryshorts #onlyinmiami #picoftheday and #beautifulbum.
His post has been criticized on social media, some interpreting it as body shaming.
