SANDY, Utah -- From flipping burgers to flipping the tables on a kidnapper!

Employees at a McDonald's in Utah helped rescue a woman from her ex-boyfriend after she says he kidnapped and violently beat her, KSTU reports.

The woman claims Jared McGrath tortured her with machetes and even tied her up with rope and duct tape because he thought she was cheating on him. He then allegedly used combination locks on the doors... and watched her via security cameras to monitor her every move.

Can you say crazy?!

Things took a turn when McGrath allegedly forced her to go with him to buy drugs at a McDonald's.

The woman says McGrath got into another car to make the exchange, that's when she made a run for it inside the McDonald's, where she hid behind the counter while employees called police.
