McKINNEY, TX — It’s been two weeks since the pool party seen around the world went down, but the chips are continuing to fall. On Friday, attorneys from the families of the some the kids who were at the pool party spoke in front of the McKinney PD headquarters.
“The civil rights of our clients and other students present at Craig Ranch subdivision have been violated,” said attorney Kwame Thompson. “We demand that criminal charges be brought against former McKinney police officer David Eric Casebolt.”
They also want charges filed against the man seen holding teens back in the video while Casebolt pinned 15-year-old Dajerria Becton to the ground.
“It was very horrific, just unbelievable just to even see something like that happening,” said Dana Bakari, mother of the girl seen being shoved back by Casebolt.
“We’re still at the beginning, but what’s important for us right now and what’s important to these families is that Mr. Casebolt is never ever allowed to carry a weapon again and claim to stand and protect others,” attorney Darrell Jordan said.
While this story might be two weeks old, for some it’s just starting up!
