Welcome to La Bare, one of the world’s first male strip clubs. It’s been a Dallas hot spot since 1978 — and it’s about to get its 15 minutes of fame. Magic Mike actor Joe Manganiello has released a documentary about what it’s really like to bare it all in a banana hammock.

Nick Adams used to be a performer and is now a DJ at the club. “We look forward to coming to work because it’s the best job any man could ever have. It’s a dream job,” he said, adding, ” You know, my goal as DJ is to make this night a night she’ll remember for the rest of her life.”

La Bare hosts bachelorette parties, birthdays, plain ‘ol Tuesday nights, even divorce parties — and performers are excited for people to see what’s behind all the glitz.

“We all work very hard. We really don’t drink, we really don’t smoke, we don’t do any drugs,” “We just really encourage each other to be the best that we can.”
