Indianapolis Colts v Dallas CowboysVALLEY RANCH — With the Cowboys` season officially over, it`s now time to make sure they keep their free agents — and we`re not talking about Dez or DeMarco. We`re talking about the guys on the sidelines wearing headsets, like head coach Jason Garrett.

How quickly things change. When the Cowboys season ended early last year, Garrett was in the hot seat. But now, according to ESPN, bygones are bygones in the form of a new five-year, $30 million deal. And it`s not just about the head honcho. The Cowboys are looking to keep offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and have locked up defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli to a new deal, too. It’s a good thing the Cowboys didn’t let Marinelli escape, since he took a defense that ranked dead last in 2013 to 19th in the league this season.

Jerry Jones was able to make it rain on the coaching staff because unlike players, there`s no salary cap on what you can pay coaches. You don’t need your “thinking cap” to know Jerry Jones has some deep pockets. So spend away Jerry, if you’re “jonesing” for another playoff run.
