Petra Nemcova is an international supermodel turned philanthropist. But, her journey to help children flourish in the wake of tragedy wasn't easy. Back in 2004, Petra survived the Thailand Tsunami -- but ended up losing the love of her life.

Through tragedy she found triumph and was encouraged to create Happy Hearts Fund.

"It's a joy to be able to provide schools and educational opportunities," Petra explained.

The 37-year-old  spends her free time traveling around the world, to help rebuild schools destroyed by natural disasters. With support from fellow celebs like U2, Marc Anthony, and former President Bill Clinton, Petra's been able to help build 131 schools and counting.

Forget rocking a runway, Petra is rocking the world!
