DALLAS (KDAF) — Understandably, there is a lot in the world to be pessimistic about. From hot-button politics to the COVID-19 pandemic to countless tragedies, as a teenager, it may be hard to navigate living in a time like now.

But not everything in this world is grim and dour, it only takes one story of hope to reignite that optimism.

Summer Nilsson, author and founder of Loodor, takes readers on a journey of discovering identity and the gift of empathy in her novel The Land of The Pines.
