FORT WORTH -- Seven-year-old Micah Ahern, the honorary Horned Frog, and "superhero" passed away Thursday morning. He had been battling neuroblastoma, a kind of cancer, since 2010.
Micah's mother posted the news on Facebook. The post said, "Micah is no longer suffering. He is healed and whole. I praise God for that. Now we all are left here to mourn the loss of The Great Superhero. Micah, you are so loved and missed. You were so brave even until the very end and we are all changed because of it."

We lost a teammate today...but Heaven gained, not just an Angel, but a Warrior! Micah will always be a part of us. pic.twitter.com/E1KYJWuADZ
