IRVING, TX — Well it took till the last day at the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, but fans and golfers finally got to see a beautiful sight: the Sun!

Yeah rain has slogged the tourney from the start, causing a combined six hours of delays and even shutting down parts of the course. But all’s well that ends well, and you couldn’t ask for a nicer day four..

“It’s great! First time no rain so I’m out here to enjoy the sun!” said Sabino the Cigar Roller, “Came to check out the cheerleaders and all the rest of the stuff that’s going on!

That’s right, for a lot of folks the Byron is less a major PGA tournament, and more a party near a golf course!

“[It’s] more of a party atmosphere!” said George Anaya, “This is Texas! We have to have a part atmosphere out here you know! As long as they have the port-a-potties we’re good!”

Well now that we’ve weathered our own monsoon season there’ll be nothing but blue skies ahead… and hopefully at next year’s tourney, the only water hazards on the course will be the ones they want to be there!
