KAUFMAN COUNTY -- A Sunday afternoon drive along I-20 took a turn for the worse this weekend.

"We were notified of a road rage incident that occurred in the city of Forney," says Kaufman County Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman, Jolie Stewart.

That`s when 33-year-old New Orleans native, Freddy Gilbert, apparently shot at another car from his own vehicle.

"Deputies were able to locate the vehicle a few miles from the city of Forney," says Stewart. Gilbert then kicked it into high gear and took deputies for a brief ride. "The pursuit lasted just a few miles, at some excessive speeds and ultimately the driver of our suspect vehicle wrecked out."

Now time to buckle your seat belt for some interesting twists and turns to this story.

"As our deputies were placing him in the car, he told our deputy that there was a body in the trunk," said Stewart.

And that wasn't the only trunk that needed searching...

"He was searched and at that point they discovered what we believe to be marijuana and crack cocaine in a body cavity."

...we'll let you use your imagination on that one!

Gilbert faces several charges. The body has been identified as 19-year-old Jac Quisha Isaac of Dallas.

As to why she was in the trunk? That question still goes unanswered.
