UPDATE: The results are still coming in for Dallas County, but Judge Clay Jenkins is declaring victory. And he did it in an odd manner during his watch party Tuesday night by reading a tweet from a follower who declared Jenkins victorious.
DALLAS CO. -- So how many of you know Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins is up for re-election? We haven't heard much from him in the form of political ads.
Yeah, well he has been busy handling the Ebola scare. Not to mention his face was all over national media when he opened the doors of Dallas County to immigrant children. Guess you can consider that his ad.
"I didn't get the opportunity to campaign a lot because I was very busy doing my job as county judge, but I think people got to see me do my job and they can make that decision based on that job performance," said Jenkins.
Jenkins is up against former Dallas City Council member Ron Natinsky.
If his name sounds familiar, it's probably because of his controversial video talking about discouraging people on food stamps from voting. His camp says Natinsky's words were taken out of context.
Well, unlike other races, we haven't seen mudslinging political ads between these two.
Then again maybe this is proof that actions speak louder than words or ads, but in the end, you'll be the ones to decide on election night.
