ROWLETT -- We probably all thought it was a dream when Rowlett announced plans for a billion dollar lakeside resort featuring an eight-acre Cabo-style blue lagoon, white sand beaches, and luxurious condos and houses surrounding it. But, after witnessing the official ground-breaking ceremony for Bayside Lagoon on Tuesday --- things seem pretty legit!

The city also announced plans for the first Rowlett Bayside Regatta. A sailboat competition that will help benefit Rebuild Rowlett -- a foundation providing relief for tornado victims.
