DALLAS -- In case you haven't been checking the calendar, Saturday is the Fourth of July, which means celebrating with cookouts and fireworks. But for folks at the FBI and Homeland Security, holidays also mean a heightened terrorist threat level.
That threat hit home in Tunisia, France and Kuwait on Friday with dozens killed, including tourists tanning on a beach.
Here in North Texas, DHS is so concerned about the Garland Cartoon Contest incident, they're reportedly warning local agencies to watch for any retaliation against depictions of the Muslim prophet.
Officials have this piece of advice as you head out this weekend -- attend public events and celebrate this country, but always remain vigilant.
Hey, if you see something say something is more than just a slogan.
